Every Wednesday PramaRADIO brings you news and updates from The Prama Foundation – a leading Christian charitable foundation in the South West of England. Plus the latest from The Barrington Centre in Ferndown.
Prama is a registered charity (No. 801967) providing domiciliary care services in Dorset, a range of clubs and activities in local communities, and pre-loved goods through our charity shops.
Our aim is to help older people, vulnerable adults and people with acquired brain injury to live independently in their own home with the outstanding care they need and deserve. We encourage support from family and friends and aim to create links with the local community through our range of community services including pop-in, special interest and dementia clubs.
We act as a voice for issues impacting older people and we stand up for the Human Rights of Older people.
We offer many clubs tackling loneliness and isolation for older people.
We run Memory Lane groups for those with Dementia or who are struggling with their memory.
We are helping to deliver Dementia Friendly Communities and Dementia Friendly Churches.
We even run a Travel Agents as a way of raising Funds and ensuring that there are age friendly, accessible holidays available.
