Derek wanted to be a radio presenter ever since he heard Alan Freeman presenting Pick of the Pops back in 1964 when he was only 7 years old!

A teenager in the 1970s, listening to the likes of Slade, T. Rex, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd and even some obscurities, he has amassed a phenomenal collection of 70s music.

He has been involved with Hospital Radio, Internet Radio and, now Community Radio.
